Mark Your Calendar and Plan to Celebrate Earth Day Weekend with FWSR's
Weldon Wagon Trail Work Party Saturday 17 April
|
Historic Weldon Wagon Trail winds across state and private land
between Husum's Indian Creek Rd. and Sandborn Rd. in Snowden.
Along the way hikers enjoy fabulous vistas of the White Salmon Valley.
Our plan is to tidy water bars, remove old barb wire, clear rocks and
brush from the trail, prune overhanging limbs all while admiring
wildflowers and enjoying the beautiful setting.
Plan to meet at the Weldon Wagon Trail parking lot at 9.00. From White
Salmon, turn right off 141 at River Drifters in Husum and follow Indian
Creek Road to the trailhead. Stay left towards "Weldon Trail" and left
towards "Indian Cemetary". Parking is on left at 0.9 miles from 141.
We'll work until 12 pm and then take in the view as we enjoy our sack
lunches.
